Bishop Zekarias Yohannes was born in Adi Zenu on June 13, 1925, was ordained priest on June 25, 1949 and Bishop of Asmara on June 29, 1981. After a long service, Bishop Zekarias passed away at the age of 91, on Dec.1, 2016. read more

VATICAN CITY (RNS) Pope Francis closed a special Holy Year of Mercy on Sunday by telling churchmen and a crowd of pilgrims in St. Peter's Square that using 'power and success' to evangelize betrays the Gospel message.
